Apple Cider Sangria

My family loved this APPLE CIDER SANGRIA that I made for Thanksgiving, so I just had to share it with you! It’s the perfect alcoholic fall drink (of course you can make it non-alcoholic with dealcoholized wine or sparkling water). You gotta give this a try. Details below!

Apple Cider Sangria

Apple Cider Time: 4 hrs 30min Sangria Chill Time: 3 hrs 30min Total Time: 8hrs

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients:

- 9 apples (I got mine from @barriehillfarms)

- 1 orange

- 1 lemon

- 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon

- A dash of nutmeg

- 10- 12 cups water

- 1 bottle of White wine (I used @bodaciouswine smooth white)

Special Equipment:

Method:

  1. Start by making your apple cider. Peel the skin off of 7 apples and slice. Add the apples to a crock pot with ½ tbsp cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg and 10-12 cups of water. Cook in your crock pot on a medium to high heat for about 4 hours. After 2 hours the apples should be softer, I mashed mine at this point to help get more of the flavour into the cider.

  2. After the four hours strain the apple out of your cider and pour your cider into a glass jar. Let cool for 30-45 minutes before placing in your fridge for a few hours until chilled (I decided to make the apple cider the day before).

  3. Once your apple cider is chilled you can start prepping your fruit for the sangria. Slice 2 apples, 1 orange and half a lemon.

  4. Add your fruit to a large pitcher along with about 6 cups of apple cider and a bottle of white wine.

  5. Chill in the fridge for 3 hours. Enjoy!
